Will Strategy (MSTR) report a net decrease in its total bitcoin holdings in its next weekly update?
31,604 Vol.1 day ago (Aug-11-2026 06:00:00 PM UTC)
DescriptionStrategy (formerly MicroStrategy), the largest corporate bitcoin holder, sold BTC in consecutive weeks — 1,638 BTC (week ending Aug 2, 2026) and ~1,030 BTC the prior week — cutting holdings to 842,138 BTC. It has now gone six consecutive weeks without a purchase as MSTR trades below the net asset value (mNAV) of its bitcoin, and is diverting proceeds to preferred-stock dividends and a USD reserve. Strategy discloses its holdings each week in a Form 8-K (typically filed Monday).
This event resolves YES if Strategy's next weekly disclosure covering the week ending Aug 9, 2026 reports total bitcoin holdings BELOW 842,138 BTC.
This event resolves NO if that disclosure reports total holdings equal to or greater than 842,138 BTC (i.e., a net purchase or no change).
1. Specificity: Only Strategy's official weekly holdings figure counts. YES requires the reported total to be strictly less than 842,138 BTC.
2. Exclusion: Bitcoin price moves, MSTR share price, personal Saylor holdings, and other companies' holdings do NOT count. Only Strategy's own reported BTC count.
3. Source Hierarchy: Strategy/MicroStrategy SEC Form 8-K (sec.gov) priority. Strategy investor relations/official X disclosure secondary. SaylorTracker/CoinDesk reporting tertiary.
4. Timing: Must be reported before 2026-08-11 18:00 UTC. If no weekly update is published by the deadline, resolves NO.
5. Cancellation Rule: Not a content/feature event. Resolution based solely on the officially reported weekly BTC holdings figure versus the 842,138 BTC baseline.
