DescriptionQuidax and Busha are Nigeria's only two ARIP provisional license holders from SEC Nigeria (granted Aug–Sep 2024). Their initial 12-month ARIP sandbox periods expired mid-2025; as of the event creation date, neither holds a full license and both continue under provisional/extended ARIP standing due to multi-agency ONSA screening delays. ISA 2025 (signed March 2025) is now in force, and SEC Circular No. 26-1 (Jan 16, 2026) raised DAX capital requirements to NGN 2B with a compliance deadline of June 30, 2027 — meaning a full license may be granted before that capital threshold is fully met.
This event resolves YES if either Quidax or Busha receives a full VASP license from SEC Nigeria on or before December 31, 2026 23:59:59 UTC.
This event resolves NO if neither holds a full license by that deadline.
1. Specificity: Full VASP license means any formal registration under ISA 2025/SEC Circular 26-1 beyond ARIP/provisional: DAX, DAC, DAOP, DAPO, DAI, AVASP, or any equivalent SEC-defined sub-category. A license issued before the June 2027 capital compliance deadline still qualifies if formally granted by SEC.
2. Exclusion: ARIP renewals/extensions do NOT count. Licenses for other companies do NOT count. Announcements without official SEC issuance do NOT count. Unverified third-party claims (e.g., marketing blogs) do NOT count.
