DescriptionThis event predicts whether LimeWire’s NFT revival will end in another spectacular collapse before March 1, 2026. The event will resolve “Yes” if major outlets such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or Cointelegraph report that LimeWire has formally halted its NFT operations, filed for bankruptcy, or been publicly classified as a failed or collapsed venture. For a "Yes" outcome, "halted operations" includes the official closure of their primary marketplace or a period of 60 consecutive days without any official social media updates or new NFT mints/transactions on their verified contracts. Official announcements of closure, financial insolvency, or regulatory penalties leading to a cessation of business will also qualify. It will resolve “No” if the company continues operating, defined as maintaining an active, accessible web domain and processing at least one NFT-related transaction per month, without credible reports of collapse by the deadline. Meme ridicule or internet sarcasm alone will not count. In case of a "soft rug" (lack of activity without a formal announcement), a consensus report from at least two crypto-focused outlets (e.g., Cointelegraph, The Block, CoinDesk) will serve as sufficient proof of collapse.
