Will Firedancer Give Concept ACK to Solana's SIMD-550 Before July 15, 2026?

DescriptionSIMD-550 proposes doubling Solana's annual disinflation rate from 15% to 30%, cutting ~$1.5B in SOL emissions over 6 years. Anza (via CEO Brennan Watt) has already given concept ACK, but the proposal cannot advance to an on-chain governance vote until Firedancer (Jump Crypto's validator client) also issues concept ACK. As of late June 2026, governance tooling launched June 18, and no on-chain vote is scheduled.
- This event resolves YES if Firedancer/Jump Crypto publicly issues concept ACK for SIMD-550 on its official GitHub or Solana governance forum before July 15, 2026 UTC. Resolves NO if no ACK is issued by that date.
- 1. Specificity: A formal concept ACK comment from a recognized Firedancer/Jump Crypto representative on the SIMD-550 GitHub PR or Solana governance forum counts.
- 2. Exclusion: Informal tweets, social media endorsements, or comments from Anza/other clients do NOT count.
- 3. Source Hierarchy: SIMD GitHub (github.com/solana-foundation/solana-improvement-documents) primary. Solana governance forum secondary. Official Firedancer blog tertiary.
- 4. Timing: Must occur before July 15, 2026 UTC. Post-deadline resolves NO.
- 5. Cancellation Rule: If SIMD-550 is formally withdrawn before July 15, event resolves NO.
