DescriptionBitcoin Knots' share of reachable public Bitcoin nodes — the daily scoreboard both camps cite in the OP_RETURN relay-policy war against Bitcoin Core v30 — is tracked live on coin.dance. As of mid-July 2026, coin.dance shows Knots near 22.7% (about 5,390 of ~23,800 reachable public nodes), after a volatile year that peaked near 25% in late 2025. This event resolves YES if Bitcoin Knots is at or above 23.0% of reachable public nodes at the resolution snapshot; it resolves NO if below 23.0%.
1. Specificity: The resolution percentage = (coin.dance Knots public-node count ÷ coin.dance total reachable public-node count) × 100, computed from the counts shown on coin.dance/nodes/knots and rounded to one decimal place. YES if that value is >= 23.0%.
2. Exclusion: Figures from any other tracker (bitnodes.io, bitref.com, mempool.space) do not count. Total node counts, non-listening/hidden nodes, hashrate, or economic-node estimates do not count.
3. Source Hierarchy: coin.dance/nodes/knots is the sole controlling source. If coin.dance does not publish the metric at the snapshot, the event VOIDS and stakes are refunded — no alternative tracker is substituted.
4. Timing: Resolution uses the coin.dance reading captured at 2026-08-15 23:59 UTC (archived via screenshot/Wayback). Later readings do not count.
5. Cancellation Rule: This is a live measured metric, not a content/feature addition, so no announcement-plus-implementation clause applies; resolution is strictly the computed figure at the snapshot.
