DescriptionDrivechain architect Paul Sztorc is launching a Bitcoin hard fork named "eCash" that activates around Aug 21, 2026 (block ~964,000), airdropping a 1:1 asset to every BTC holder and activating BIP300/301 Drivechains. Critics (including Rootstock and several core devs) call it "theft" and warn of weak replay protection, while regulated custodians face compliance pressure to refuse it.
This event resolves YES if, on or before Aug 30, 2026 23:59 UTC, at least one of these exchanges — Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, OKX, Bybit, Bitfinex, Gemini, KuCoin, Gate.io, or Bitget — officially announces it will credit the eCash airdrop to customer balances, list the eCash fork asset for trading, or enable deposits/withdrawals of it.
This event resolves NO if no such announcement is made by the deadline.
1. Specificity: A qualifying announcement is a listing, crediting of the airdrop, or enabling of deposits/withdrawals of the eCash fork asset, published on the exchange's official website, blog, status page, or verified social account.
2. Exclusion: A generic "we are evaluating / monitoring / assessing" statement does NOT count. Support only for the pre-existing eCash (XEC) token does NOT count — this must be Sztorc's new fork asset. Smaller exchanges outside the listed ten do NOT count.
4. Timing: Must occur on or before Aug 30, 2026 23:59 UTC. Post-deadline resolves NO.
5. Cancellation Rule: YES requires an actual official commitment to credit/list/support (announcement plus stated implementation). A mere intention to consider resolves NO. If a listed exchange announces support then reverses before the deadline, it resolves YES based on the first announcement.
