DescriptionOn June 18, 2026, EF co-Executive Director Hsiao-Wei Wang resigned immediately — the second co-ED exit in 2026 — leaving Bastian Aue as sole interim leader. The same day, former core dev coordinator Trent Van Epps warned of a $30M/year developer funding gap within 3–9 months, as the Client Incentive Program expired April 2026 with no successor. At least 18–19 EF staff have departed in 2026 ahead of the Glamsterdam upgrade.
Outcome 1 resolves YES if EF officially names a new co-Executive Director or equivalent permanent successor on or before July 20, 2026 UTC. Bastian Aue continuing in his interim role does NOT count. Source hierarchy: ethereum.foundation → thedefiant.io → coindesk.com. Resolves NO if no appointment is announced by the deadline.
Outcome 2 resolves YES if EF publicly announces a new EF-originated, formally structured, recurring or multi-year developer funding program replacing the expired CIP on or before July 20, 2026 UTC. Ad-hoc grants, one-off payments, or Protocol Guild expansion — whether standalone or combined — do NOT count. Source hierarchy: ethereum.foundation → thedefiant.io → coindesk.com. Resolves NO otherwise.
