BIP-110 zombie chain: which block heights does the BLAKE2b fork reach by Sept 28, 2026?

DescriptionBIP-110 (RDTS) failed mandatory signaling in August 2026, peaking near 2.5% against a 55% threshold. Enforcing nodes split from Bitcoin at block 961,632 on Aug 8 and crawled on SHA-256d to 961,639 over the following three weeks. On Aug 30 at 06:14 UTC the chain restarted at flag-day height 961,640 under a BLAKE2b proof-of-work hard fork with ~300 KB blocks; the tip passed 963,700 on Sept 1 after a -41.3% retarget at 963,648. Retargets are capped at 4x per 2,016 blocks, so several ratchets are needed before cadence converges on 144 blocks/day.
Each outcome resolves YES if its height milestone is met on or before 2026-09-28 12:00 UTC, NO otherwise.
1. Specificity: The reference chain is the BLAKE2b chain descending from block 961,640. An outcome resolves YES once that chain tip reaches the stated height or higher before the deadline; a crossing is permanent.
2. Exclusion: Bitcoin mainnet (SHA-256d) blocks do not count. Heights from mempool.bitcoinpurity.org, bip110.run, bip110.org or bip110.net do not count - they track the Purity chain, the abandoned SHA-256d branch, or mainnet signaling. Testnets and announcements without blocks do not count. If the BLAKE2b chain splits again, the reference is the greatest-cumulative-work chain valid under the latest btc-blake2b.org release.
3. Source Hierarchy: mempool.guide/api/blocks/tip/height (BLAKE2b chain) priority; tip height only is authoritative, other fields informational. blake2bminer.com secondary, used only if the primary is unreachable. btc-blake2b.org tertiary, authoritative on consensus rules.
4. Timing: Must occur before 2026-09-28 12:00 UTC (Etc/UTC). Post-deadline resolves NO. If no source is reachable, resolve from the last verifiable tip height.
5. Cancellation Rule: Milestones require actual on-chain blocks; announcements alone resolve NO. If a height is reached and the chain later reorganizes or stalls, resolution stands on the first crossing.
